55 MA, an installation by Urtė Janus, responded to the Anglican chapel in Nunhead Cemetery, London. Janus explored the layers of time buried within the land on which the cemetery was constructed. The earth is an archive, recording the changes to the land and the memory of those who had come before. Janus also looked forward, considering what might be held there in the future.
